Revanth Reddy announces Rs 2 lakh crop waiver by August 15th:- Refuting the accusations made by opposition leaders about the Congress reneging on its pre-election promises, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy declared on Monday that his administration will implement a crop loan forgiveness program of up to Rs 2 lakh by August 15. This action is expected to benefit 69 lakh farmers. Additionally, he pledged to provide a Rs 500 bonus for each quintal of paddy in the upcoming crop season.

During his speech at the Jana Jatara Sabha in Narayanpet, which is part of the former Mahbubnagar district, Chief Minister Reddy fiercely criticized former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao. He accused Rao of compromising Telangana's dignity in exchange for support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Reddy alleged that Rao had made a deal with the PM to back the BJP in five Lok Sabha constituencies: Mahbubnagar, Chevella, Malkajgiri, Bhuvanagiri, and Zaheerabad. The president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) claimed that the BRS leader had instructed his party members to transfer their votes to the saffron party in those five constituencies. "While I was languishing in jail while my daughter was getting married, KCR failed to comprehend my anguish. However, as soon as his daughter (MLC K Kavitha) was imprisoned, KCR sacrificed Telangana's dignity to secure her release."

“Leaders need to reflect on their actions,” stated Revanth. The chief minister made a promise to include a member of the Mudiraj community in his Cabinet if the Congress manages to secure at least 14 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana during the upcoming elections. “If you give me 14 Lok Sabha seats, I will bring Mudiraj leader Srihari, who is also the Makthal MLA, into my Cabinet,” he assured. Revanth also announced that local body elections in the state would be held immediately after the Lok Sabha polls. Expressing his disappointment, the TPCC president questioned why BRS leaders are not campaigning for votes during the election period. He also wondered why KCR, who has been in power for just 100 days, is focused on toppling his government instead of the Modi-led Union government, which has been in power for a decade.

Highlighting the Congress' commitment to social justice, Revanth emphasized that the party has given tickets to marginalized groups such as the washermen community in Shadnagar, Mudiraj in Makthal, and Kuruma in Gadwal. He also mentioned that Anil Kumar Yadav, a BC leader, was nominated to the Rajya Sabha, despite there being senior leaders waiting for such an opportunity to ensure social justice. Furthermore, Revanth expressed concern about the reclassification of the Mudiraj community from the BC-D to the BC-A category.
