Sad Truth: MBBS Is the New BTech:- For 20 posts more than 500 candidates with MBBS degrees attended the interview. An interview for 20 posts was conducted at Delhi State Cancer Institute (GTB) for a vacancy of non-acad JR (Non-academic Junior doctor /Residency). The picture of the crowded doctors is viral on the internet.

Delhi hospitals offer more salaries for junior doctors when compared to other parts of the country. This might be one of the reasons for a pool of MBBS doctors present for the interview. Delhi hospitals offer Rs 80,000 to Rs 90,000 as a stipend.

Currently, we have many MBBS doctors coming out from colleges with their graduation degrees and many certified doctors are still roaming out, who are not settled yet.

Job schemes work on demand and supply. When we get more graduates, then there is no chance of demanding a higher salary. Like how B Tech turned. Slowly doctors can't demand more salaries like their counterparts in the IT sector.

Sadly Bengaluru hospitals are offering Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 for Junior doctors. Social practitioner is another nightmare for young doctors.

Appolo Hospitals neurologist Dr Sudhir Kumar once explained how painful it is to be successful in the medical profession. He said he earned only Rs 9,000 even about 10 years after completing his MBBS degree. Eventually when he started to earn more through other investments and then he saw growth in medical practice.
