TTD EO Gets One-Month Jail Term:- The Andhra Pradesh High Court awarded one month imprisonment for A.V. Dharma Reddy, the Executive Officer of The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in a contempt of court case. A fine of Rs 2000 was imposed along with the imprisonment. A.V. Dharma Reddy was asked to regularize three contract employees after some of the employees approached the court. After the orders are not implemented, the employees had to approach the court again after which the High Court gave a shock to A.V. Dharma Reddy. The High Court issued the orders against the EO on Tuesday for not obeying the orders of the courts. A.V. Dharma Reddy was also asked to appear before the judicial registrar in the next two weeks without fail. Dharma Reddy was asked to surrender before December 27th.
The High Court also passed the orders to the Registrar asking them to send Dharma Reddy to judiicia remand once he surrenders. Dharma Reddy can also appeal against the order before December 27th after which the decision would be taken. The notification was released by TTD in January 2011 to fill the posts of the programme assistants in TTD.Dharma Prachara Parishad. Kommu Babu, Ramavat Swamy Naik and Bukya Sevla Nayak were working in the trust and they filed a petition challenging the notification and they sought the intervention of the court about regularizing the services. On April 13th, 2022, the court asked the TTD to regularize the services as Kommu Babu, Ramavat Swamy Naik and Bukya Sevla Nayak have been working with TTD from a decade.
