AP High Court Issues a Stay on the New GO of TTD:- The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) announced that special invitees that are appointed by the government of Andhra Pradesh will be taking part in the board meetings of the TTD Trust. This triggered enough controversies as all these special invitees will be formally sworn. The AP Government passed four separate GOs about the same. The government tried to explain about the appointment of the 50 persons as special invitees to the TTD which brought a lot of confusion in the circles of TTD. The Andhra Pradesh High Court issued a stay on the GO that is issued by the AP Government about the new panel of special invitees of TTD.

GO 245 appointed 28 members to the Board of TTD and GO 568 had 50 members as special invitees. GO 569 that is issued included two others as the ex-officio members and the total members are said to be 80. Three PILs have been filed challenging the AP Government's GOs. The petitions were filed by TDP leader M Umamaheswara Naidu, BJP leader G Bhanuprakash Reddy and Hindu Jansakhati Samkshema Sangham founder K Lalit Kumar. The PILs said that the traditions of TTD are broken through the new GOs that are issued. The High Court of Andhra Pradesh issued interim orders on the special invitees' panel and the next hearing is scheduled after four weeks.
