Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan Is No More:- Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, the founder of Lok Janshakti Party passed away yesterday in a private hospital in New Delhi where he is being treated after he underwent heart surgery. The 74-year-old Dalit leader underwent heart surgery on Saturday and he is recovering well. His health condition deteriorated suddenly yesterday and Ram Vilas Paswan breathed his last. The officials of Home Ministry said that Ram Vilas Paswan will be cremated with state honors on Saturday in his hometown Patna. Twitter is flooded with tributes for the departed leader. "I am saddened beyond words. There is a void in our nation that will perhaps never be filled. Shri Ram Vilas Paswan Ji's demise is a personal loss. I have lost a friend, valued colleague and someone who was extremely passionate to ensure every poor person leads a life of dignity," posted Narendra Modi.

Ram Vilas Paswan worked as a Minister in all the governments since 1989. He worked with six Prime Ministers starting from VP Singh. He is the in charge of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in Narendra Modi's cabinet. Ram Vilas Paswan worked with Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar before he made his debut into national politics. Ram Vilas Paswan was jailed in 1975 Emergency and he won in the 1977 Parliament elections from Hajipur, Bihar. He skipped the Lok Sabha polls last year and offered the seat to his brother Pashupati Kumar Paras and he made his entry into Rajya Sabha.

Ram Vilas Paswan passed away at 6.05 PM yesterday evening. His mortal remains will be placed for public visit from 10 AM today in his official residence in 12 Janpath. He will be flown to Patna and will be cremated tomorrow with state honors. Ram Vilas Paswan has been suffering from heart issues and kidney shutdown. He is kept on dialysis. The national flag will be flown at half-mast today in Delhi and all the state capitals.
