Atchan Naidu Custody Extended For Three More Days:- TDP MLA and ex-minister Atchan Naidu has been facing allegations in ESI scam and he was arrested in the case recently. A special ACB Court granted the extension of custody of Atchan Naidu for three more days. The court also dismissed the bail petition of Atchan Naidu along with four others in connection with Rs 150 crore scam in ESI during TDP's regime. Atchan Naidu underwent an operation recently and he is being treated in Guntur Government General Hospital. Out of the 19 accused, nine of them have been arrested by ACB.

The ACB officials identified that the scam took place when Atchan Naidu worked as the Labour Minister of the state. ACB officials say that there were several irregularities of medicines, surgical equipment along with the furniture. ACB said that the scam is worth Rs 988.77 crores and the investigation is currently on. The ACB officials are in plans to arrest the other accused in the case soon. TDP alleged that Atchan Naidu was blamed due to political reasons and he has no involvement in the scam.
