AP Sets A New Record In Coronavirus Tests:- The government of Andhra Pradesh created a new record for reaching a milestone in conducting the number of samples. Andhra Pradesh is the fourth state in the country to test four lakh people for coronavirus by Wednesday. A total number of 4,03,747 people are tested for coronavirus and in the last one day, AP conducted 8066 tests. Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra are the states which already conducted 4 lakh tests in their respective states. But the population of Andhra Pradesh is quite low when compared to the above states.

Based on this, Andhra Pradesh is the number one state in the country in conducting coronavirus tests. On average, 7419 people are screened and tested per million in Andhra Pradesh. AP is also at the top of the list when it comes to recovery. It is higher than the national average. The recovery rate in Andhra Pradesh is 64% while the national average is said to be 48.51%. The infection rate too is quite low in the state. It is 0.96% in AP while in the country it is said to be 4.96%. The Centre issued directives to employ TrueNat machines in all the states to test coronavirus.
