Devaragattu Stick Fight: Over 60 Injured:- The traditional act of stick fight started in Kurnool's Devaragattu which left 60 people injured. The event started Tuesday night and the fight happens among 11 villages to win the Maala Malleswara Swamy kalyanam idol. Five of them are critically injured and they are rushed to Adoni Government hospital. Despite of the officials educating the people not to involve in bloodshed, people went ahead and the stick fight left several injured. The officials warned of taking strict action asking the villagers to keep the traditions aside.

1000 cops have been deployed to the spot and they are was under the supervision of drone cameras. 50 CCTV cameras have been installed and 100 doctors were on the spot. Every year, the people of 11 villages divide into two groups and fight for the idol. The people are never bothered about their lives and they keep on fighting till the last move. Several people lost their lives over the years because of this traditional fight but the people from these 11 villages continue to fight.
