YS Jagan Gets a Huge Relief in ED Case:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy received a huge relief after the appellate tribunal for the Prevention of Money Laundering Act directed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to release the properties worth Rs 746 crores to Jagan and his wife Bharathi. They have been attached as a part of the investigation some time ago. Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) have been investigating the cases and they include seven cases under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and 11 cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act pending against YS Jagan.

The tribunal felt that the attachment of the assets happened in a hurry. The tribunal also questioned ED's move to attach the bonafide business transactions of YS Jagan. The attached properties worth Rs 746 crore include Rs 569.57 crore belonging to Jagan and his group of companies, Rs 22.31 crore belonging to his wife Bharathi Reddy and another Rs 154.29 crore of Bharathi Cements. The tribunal wanted the properties to be released until the final order gets passed.
