Supreme Court Shocks Centre And BJP:- The internal war in CBI created a stir and sensation across the country. The CBI Chief Alok Verma and Deputy Chief Mr Asthana have been sent on leave and M Nageswara Rao has been asked to take charge as the temporary director. CBI former Chief Alok Verma filed a petition with the Supreme Court over removing him from the position of the CBI's director. The court heard the petition today and revealed their decision asking M Nageswara Rao not to make any decisions on his own.
Nageswara Rao has been just asked to supervise the daily activities of CBI. Alok Verma challenged the Centre for taking the decision remind that CBI director has a fixed period of 2 years. Over 13 CBI officials have been transferred after Alok Verma's removal after which the Supreme Court revealed its decision. The apex court's decision came as one more blow for BJP and the Centre which has been badly criticized. AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi staged protests against the Centre for intervening into the affairs of the CBI.
