Modi Assassination Plan: Varavara Rao Arrested:- Hyderabad based revolutionary writer and Maoist ideologue Varavara Rao has been arrested by the Pune cops in connection with the alleged conspiracy to assassinate Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Several raids have been conducted in his flat by the cops after which he has been taken into custody. The flats of senior journalist KV Kurmanath and photographer T Kranthi have been raided in connection with this case. Krumanath is the son-in-law of Varavara Rao and they live in adjacent flats in Himasai Apartments, Ashoknagar.

Along with the local cops, Pune police arrived to Varavara Rao's residence today morning at 7 AM. Their mobile phones have been taken and raids have been conducted. No documents have been taken out from the flat during the raids. Several organizations and their leaders reached Varavara Rao's flat after the news spread like wildfire. They raised the slogans against the cops. Pune cops revealed that they had search warrant after which Varavara Rao's residence has been searched. Varavara Rao has been arrested and some documents have been seized.

Varavara Rao has been taken to Gandhi Hospital for health check-up and he will be shifted to Pune on transit warrant after producing him in Nampally Court.
