Hyderabad ORR Water Supply Project To Start In August:- The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) Managing Director M Dana Kishore directed the officials to start work on the major water supply project within Outer Ring Road (ORR) from August and to complete the works by June 2018.

The project is estimated to cost around Rs 628 crore. As part of the project, the water board will be laying pipelines, constructing 403 reservoirs in seven municipalities. This wil facilitate water supply to 183 villages, which are beyond the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits, but within the radius of the ORR.

Under the first phase, construction of 67 reservoirs will be taken up and these works will have to be completed by February 2018. Rest of the works should be completed by June 2018, Dana Kishore said.

The officials were even directed to conduct soil tests at the sites identified for construction of reservoirs. Mr. Kishore also directed the officials to prepare a mandal-wise project report and ensure the supply of equipment to the workers.
