YSRCP Selects Silpa Mohan Reddy As Nandyal By-Poll Candidate:- The opposition YSR Congress Party, as expected, has selected former Minister Silpa Mohan Reddy as its candidate for the Nandyal Assembly by-election.
The Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy confirmed this. From the ruling TDP, after he deferred with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the party ticket, Mohan Reddy joined the YSRCP recently. He had sought the ticket from TDP, but the rival group to which Bhuma Akhila Priya, belongs also demanded the same.
Following the sudden demise of her father Bhuma Nagi Reddy, the seat fell vacant and as such the ticket must be given to her family, said Akhila Priya. Mohan Reddy joined the YSRCP after the party denied the ticket. Meanwhile, the TDP had announced Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy, son of Nagi Reddy’s brother as its contestant.
