Chennai Dog Case: Culprits Granted Bail by Local Court

The Chennai Police on Wednesday arrested the two medical students, Gautam Sudarshan and Ashish Pal who threw a dog from a rooftop of a building on Monday. But the local court granted bail to the two culprits.

All the animal activists have decided to appeal the court’s verdict. After falling from a rooftop of a building, the dog is still alive. The dog suffered two fractures. Activists who recused the dog named it as ‘Bhadra’.

The video which runs in slow motion, shows a man holding a dog by its neck and back on the parapet wall of his terrace. After sporting a smile into the camera, the man drops the dog down and the camera follows the dog, which falls down crying out in pain and the video ends with the dog lying still on the ground.

The video got viral in all social media platforms which were originated from WhatsApp and was eventually uploaded on Facebook by animal activists.

Sally Kannan an Outreach Consultant at Humane Society International had posted the video. He also offered a reward of Rs 100,000 to anyone who could nab the culprit.
