Ram Charan is usually a reserved guy in public. When someone asks him for a few words, he visibly struggles, going by past interviews. During the release of Toofan's audio, we got to see confidence in his eyes away from the sets.
Everyone knows how confidently he carried off the action scenes in Nayak, his earlier release this year. Why then is he so shy with real time interviews. Even when he was attending Jhalak Dikh Laga for the promotion of Zanjeer, all he could do was smile and look uncomfortable. On 27th August, that spell was broken finally as he came out of his shell.
As soon as the mike was thrust upon him by anchor Uday bhanu, he started off his endearing speech by thanking his uncle turned brother Ventkatesh for his presence at the function. One might wonder how an uncle became a brother. Well, that's how the bonding is for the actors who have been around each other so much that familiarity becomes closeness. Charan grew up watching his father and Venky act in films. Now that its his turn, he has displayed a humble respect for his senior.
He went on to say that what his father Chiranjeevi gave and Babai taught will stay with him and that he does not have any fantasies of becoming a bigger star all over India. “I acted for Zanjeer on the encouragement of my dad and the patient requests of director Apoorva Lakhia. It is an experiment and if you fans do not like my experiments, you can say it,” Charan expressed.
He stole everyone's heart by saying he will always pick films with a good content and not because he has to do it. He also warmly thanked the lyric writer and other technicians involved in the making of Toofan/Zanjeer.
Charan is finding his foothold away from the shadow of this father. Though there was noticeable excitement when he mentioned 'Babai', it still did not take away the respect he himself accumulated in the past few years.
