Hyderabad city the most happening metro in the country wakes up early to get a glimpse of the celestial spectacle, on Wednesday. Yes Venus Transits sun today a rare celestial display and not to miss event once in a life time say astronomers and enthusiasts. The next performance by Venus may be after 105 years.

Astronomers say that in south India Venus transit could be observed between 5.42 am- 10.22 am using solar filters. Viewing the celestial display by naked eyes must be avoided completely say astronomers. On the bright red/white sun a small beauty spot will be traveling across the width is Venus say sources. There was a huge rush to view this display across the metros in the morning.  Astronomers say that in the last 500 years the transit occurred just 53 times.

The transit comes at a time when India is exploring the possibility of launching an unmanned scientific mission to Venus. If it gets the go ahead, it could lift off from Sriharikota on May 20, 2015 arriving in Venus in October 2015 with five scientific instruments.

Elaborate arrangements have been made in the city by the state astronomers association and Planetary Associations of India. Birla Sanitarium Planetarium has been specifically designed for the day to monitor the celestial display. Osmania University Astronomy Department is making arrangements for public viewing of the celestial event of Venus passing through the disc of Sun from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
