TS Employees Demand OPS:- Telangana state government employees held a huge rally at Nampally Exhibition Ground demanding for old pension scheme (OPS) replacement.
They asked Telangana chief minister KCR to replace the scheme before the elections. From all 33 districts, thousands of employees from all the districts along with their families have taken part in the rally. They vowed their complete support in the next upcoming elections to BRS, if their demand is fulfilled. They asked to abolish the contributory pension scheme (CPS).
TS CPS Employees Union (TSCPSEU) president G Sthitaprajna addressed the media after the rally and demanded KCR to abolish CPS before the next election and if they abolish it, he said complete government employees of TS state will support BRS.
Sthitaprajna also mentioned that if BRS is planning to add this to their election manifesto, it would take another five years to implement. He said employees of Telangana under the CPS system are facing hard times as it does not provide any financial security or stability to employees and their families after retirement.
Sthitaprajan also demanded the Central to support the state government if the CM abolished the scheme, that is the contribution of funds to the state to implement the OPS.
