Sharmila sent to jail for 14 days:- YSRTP president YS Sharmila was detained by police on Monday for allegedly assaulting cops outside her residence. She was sent to jail for 14 days of custody for allegedly slapping the cop. As she did not take prior permission to visit SIT office, Police officials kept her under house arrest.

Sharmila was aggrieved and purportedly pushed a policeman and allegedly hit a woman constable. Sharmila heard screaming, I can go to Appolo Hospital or I can go to church or I can go to SIT Office, I Can go anywhere I want and you don’t have any work go bray donkeys. Later YS Vijayamma rushed to Lotus Pond to meet Sharmila, where police stopped her. Angry Vijayamma slapped police in front of rolling cameras.

Banjara Hills police booked case on YS Sharmila under Sections 353, 332,324 and 509 (assault on a public servant, deterring public servant from duty, hurting them and insulting to the modesty of a woman). The court sent her to judicial custody and police shifted her to Chanchalguda Central Prison.
