Secretariat Debris Posing A Big Challenge In Telangana:- Telangana Secretariat is expanded in over 25 acres and the demolition process of the old buildings is happening at a fast pace currently. The entire premises are under the control of the Telangana government and the public is prevented from reaching near to the Secretariat. The process of demolition started during the early hours of Tuesday. The process is going on at a fast pace and the biggest challenge is all about the shifting of the debris of the razed buildings. Five blocks out of the ten are already demolished using bulldozers and JCBs. The officials are confident all the buildings will be flattened by Thursday.
The officials are in plans to shift the debris from Friday. The dust pollution is mounted across the surrounding regions despite of taking all the needed measures. The officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) identified dumping yards in Charlapally and Jawaharnagar to dump all the debris of the Secretariat. Heavy vehicles are hired from private agencies to dump all the debris. The vehicles of GHMC too are on duty and are available to carry on the operations. The GHMC officials took safety measures to prevent pollution across the surrounding residential colonies.
The Roads and Building Department officials are in the hunt for other options to carry on the activities and dump the debris. It is predicted that the process takes over ten days. Special machines are picked up to crush the concrete structures into small pieces so that they can be easily moved.
