A Quiet Ramzan For Hyderabad After 112 Years:- The whole country is celebrating Ramzan today and the country will celebrate it in a quiet manner today. Hyderabad which is known for loud celebrations of Ramzan will be silent and will be in strict restrictions. It was in 1908, Hyderabad remains silent because of the devastating Deluge of river Musi that left the city destructed. The year, the celebrations were called off and the city was silent. Now after 112 years, Hyderabad remained silent for Ramzan (Id-ul-Fitr). 2020 is badly hit due to coronavirus and is under strict lockdown from the past two months.
There were no Iftar parties and grand, loud celebrations in the year in 1908 due the outbreak. Now after 112 years, there are similar situations in Hyderabad. All the Muslims are now restricted to their homes and are making it a family affair. Hyderabad was flooded in the year 1908 and it killed 15,000 people. 80,000 houses were badly damaged due to the calamity. Hyderabad is under restriction now and social distancing happens to be the need of the hours. Hence, the Muslims themselves called off the Ramzan celebrations this year. The Old City is strictly closed.
