Ex-BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar Found Guilty in Rape Case:- The Unnao rape case created a sensation across the country which took place in 2017. Ex-BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar raped a minor and he is announced acquitted in the case. The judgment was reserved last week and the district sessions judge Dharmesh Sharma announced the decision today. The case was transferred on August 5th from a Lucknow court and was given a trial time of 45 days. A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by Kuldeep Sengar in 2017.
He was arrested in April 2019 after the girl threatened to kill herself before UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's home. Both Kuldeep Sengar and his brother Shashi Singh were expelled from the party in August 2019. The victim had written a letter to the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi stating that she faced threats by Sengar. The court today announced that Kuldeep Sengar is acquitted in the case. Kuldeep Sengar and Shashi Singh are framed under IPC sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 363 (kidnapping), 366 (kidnapping or inducing a woman to compel for marriage), 376 (rape) and other relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
