With Hyderabad Metro getting wide applause from the commuters across the state’s capital, Telangana government is now in plans for a monorail project that connects Hyderabad and its neighbouring city Warangal. While the monorail in Hyderabad will link Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to areas such as Gachibowli, Nanakramguda, Financial District, Tellapur, Kokapet and Kanchanbagh Junction, the monorail in Warangal will connect it to Kazipet. The complete details about the project are yet to be unveiled and an official announcement is expected soon. Considering the thousands of people who travel to Hyderabad on regular basis, Telangana government initiated the plans of monorail project which is the first one in South India.
