YSRCP MLA Comments On Sadavarthi Lands Case:- YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy told the Hyderabad High Court that he is ready to pay the first installment of Rs 10 crore for the Sadavarthi Satram lands in Chennai.

It may be recalled that the High Court had directed Ramakrishna Reddy to pay Rs 10 crore and the remaining Rs 17 crore at a later date to claim the Sadavarthi lands. The lands were earlier auctioned by the Andhra Pradesh government. The court, following the statement given by the MLA on Tuesday, directed him to pay the amount in the name of Endowments Commissioner. The court posted further hearing to July 17.

Later, addressing the media outside the court complex, Mr. Reddy stated that the amount will be deposited before the current weekend as per instructions.

The Sadavarthi Land Case So Far:

For a paltry sum of Rs 22 crore, the AP Government had auctioned the 83.11 acres of Sadavarthi Satram lands. Questioning the auction by AP government, MLA Alla Ramakrishna petitioned the High Court. The Court in its judgment stated that the lands will be handed over to the MLA if he is willing to pay an additional Rs 5 crore. That brought the total amount to Rs 27.44 crore. It is in this regard that the MLA on Tuesday gave an undertaking that he is willing to pay the first installment of Rs 10 crore.
