As winter sets in, the night temperatures in Hyderabad will be below 14ºC until November 30. But from December 1 to 10 the nights will be warmer and the temperature will be minimum 2ºC above normal.
The Met Department also predicted that Hyderabad weather will be more of windy in the morning which is due to the north and northeasterly winds coming from the Himalayas.
On Thursday the temperature was 14ºC which dropped 2ºC from the normal temperature.
Indian Meteorological director Y.K. Reddy said, “Currently the state is covered by low-level northerlies / northeastern winds which are dominant on the northern side of the state.”
He said, "warmer nights in December can be seen as a normal variation in the weather condition."
“As per the climatological calculations of the IMD, January and February are considered to be winter season. However, there is no approximate date for the season to set in. It entirely depends on the drop in temperatures. If cold waves and cold day conditions are witnessed, then winter is said to set,” he said.
The Met department has not predicted any rainfall in Telangana state, but moderate rain is likely to be witnessed in south coastal Andhra Pradesh in the second week of December which is due to the northeast monsoon.
