The Telangana RTC withdrew hike on bus fares, as the TRS government assured TSRTC to burden the loss.
It is known that the RTC employees' salaries are hiked in the Telugu states recently. After several days of continuous strike by the RTC employees, keeping in mind the problems public are facing, the dual state governments came down and announced hike in the salaries.
Andhra Pradesh government announced a 43% hike in salary, as demanded by the RTC employees, whereas Telangana government announced 44%, which is 1% more than, what the employees demanded. KCR strategy behind more salary hike was defined in different ways by the political critics.
Controversies after RTC salary hike
However, there are many controversies raised by the Telangana employees, as the government said that, it would give bonds for the hiked percentage of salary and finally pay at the time of retirement, which was seriously offended by the RTC employees.
After solving all those conflicts of RTC employees, the Telangana government announced that, the bus fares in Telangana state will be hiking soon, as the burden is going beyond the limit. Since then, there is no such gesture from the government, about the bus fare hike.
Telangana government response on bus fare hike
After a long gap, the Telangana government had now responded on the bus fare hike, saying that, the government had no intention of hiking the bus fares in the near future, keeping in mind the burden of the common man.
Regarding this, the Telangana government decided to bear the entire burden on its shoulders, by paying Rs.75 lakh per month to the RTC department. With this announcement, the TSRTC announced that, there will not be any hike in bus fares in the near future.
However, the government would be cursed by the public, if at all it announces the hike in bus fare, as it declared more salary hike, than demanded by the RTC employees. So it is a wise decision to withdraw the bus fare hike.
