Andhra Pradesh express will be called as Telangana Express officially from this November 15th.

After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh state into Telangana and Andhra, the Telangana leaders strongly demanded to change the name of Andhra Pradesh express (AP express) to Telangana express.

So as the pressure become heavy, the railway department authorities  finally had to come down and compromise. In an official meeting on Thursday, the authorities announced that, the AP express is going to be called as Telangana express soon. They stated, the new name will come into existence from November 15th 2015.
    
This particular train travels between Hyderabad and New Delhi and covers Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh in its route.
 
On the other side, the Telangana officials expressed their happiness for this official announcement and opined that, Hyderabad is a joint capital to both the Telugu states only till 10 years. After the said time, it will completely be owned by Telangana state itself. So that is the need for renaming the AP express, which starts its journey at Hyderabad.
 
AP express is famous throughout the country with its name. Hope that popularity continues even after the change of the name, by continuing to give the best service asususal.
