Agnipath Scheme: Violence Breakout In Secunderabad Railway Station:- Violence broke out against the Central government over the Agnipath scheme which was announced for the recruitment of the armed forces. Tensed situations were found after two trains were burnt. The entire furniture and the shops on the first three platforms are damaged and the estimated loss is said to be Rs 20 crores. The Railway General Manager of Secunderabad called for an emergency meeting. NSUI activists and students pelted stones at buses. Thousands of Army exam candidates were apart of the protests and they expressed their anger. They demanded a cancellation of the Agnipath Scheme and the army exams should be conducted like in the past.
The parcel office and other stalls are completely damaged. Thousands of students participated in the protest. The cops were deployed and they opened fire. Two people are said to be severely injured and they are rushed to a nearby hospital. The visuals that surfaced on social media are completely disturbing. One person died in the incident. The entire railway station has been vandalized. The stalls are completely damaged and are looted. The Railway authorities stopped the trains and the cops are working hard to bring the situation into control. The protests started in other states too and some of the trains have been canceled in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The mobile internet and SMS services are suspended in Palwal region of Haryana.
