Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has not met President Pranab Mukherjee, on the latter’s visit to Hyderabad, as the area where President landed, does not come under the AP jurisdiction.
For a southern sojourn, the President Pranab Mukherjee visited Hyderabad. He was welcomed by the Telangana Chief Minister KCR and governor and other officials.
But when the President attended the 12th convocation celebrations of Nulsar University last year, along with Telangana Chief Minister KCR and Governor, even the AP Chief Minister has welcomed the President, attending the Begumpet airport, which is under the GHMC jurisdiction.

But this time, keeping in mind the traffic issues in the city, President had to land at Hakimpet, which does not come under the GHMC jurisdiction. This made Naidu quit the programme as he might felt that, he would not get equal importance as of Telangana Chief Minister KCR.
The President will attend a reception at Raj Bhavan today. So AP CM might be planning to meet the president in the reception. On July 1st Mukherjee will visit Tirupati to pay obeisance at Tirumala temple. He is likely to inaugurate 'Telangana Harithaharam', a massive plantation programme, at Yadgirigutta on July 3.
