In just few hours, the fate of Bihar government will be known but both Manjhi and Nitish supporters are leaving no stone to get through it at any cost. Earlier in the day, many twists occurred and one of the most shocking development is, Janata Dal [United] has been granted the main opposition status by the Bihar assembly speaker. This has irked the Bharatiya Janata Party which is actual opposition in the house with 87 MLAs.
Meanwhile Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi threw an open offer to the MLAs to win the vote of confidence. Mr Manjhi was addressing a Mahadalits convention at Patna's SK Memorial Hall, said those who want cabinet berth, can come to me. Adding, he said he is fighting for the Mahadalits and would do anything to save the government.
The role of BJP in tomorrow's trust vote is going to be crucial and interesting. Though BJP's strength is not enough to save the government, the party is under severe pressure on whom to vote. It cannot let down a Mahadalit who has been "insulted" by his party and Nitish Kumar.
