Meira Kumar To Start Her Election Campaign On June 30?:- The election campaign of the Presidential candidate of Opposition, Meira Kumar will start on June 30 from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad.
A day ahead of filing her nomination papers, Kumar briefing media said “I feel I should start my election campaign from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. I will start from there.”
When asked why Sabarmati, Kumar said: “Everybody knows the significance of Sabarmati in our country. The ‘sant’ of Sabarmati (Mahatma Gandhi) played an important role in the freedom movement of our country. That is why I am going there.”
Asked about Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s position and whether she will speak to him for his support, Kumar said: “Such things happen in politics. It is not a new thing. What I need to do about it, I will decide at the right time.”
As part of her campaign, Meira will visit all the states and meet the MLAs.
