The Ministry of Home Affairs [MHA] and Delhi Police department is not happy with the young IPS officers who were posted in vital areas of the national capital. The attack on Church at Vasant Kunj and few other incidents said the young IPS officers who were deployed to work in Delhi, misused their power and quite a few of them are facing corruption charges too.
Shankar Choudary, the young IPS officer who was posted for Lajpat nagar was levelled with corruption charges and he was transferred by the Delhi police. The MHA also asked the Delhi Police to transferred the young ACPs [Assistant Commissioner of Police] who did not meet the expectations after the Delhi Assembly elections.
In fact, it was the decision of Delhi Police Commissioner, B.S. Bassi to rope young IPS officers who wanted them to gain ample of experience and develop skills in investigation and field works. But his idea failed miserably as the young officers are levelled with corruption allegations. In the December 2014, the MHA held a review of the performance of the young officers.
