In a major embarrassment, Congress party and United Andhra Pradesh last CM Kiran Kumar Reddy's Jai Samaikyandhra Party faced an insulting defeat in the elections. Both the parties did not even win single and moreover could not get deposit.
The most shocking thing is, Kiran who fielded his brother Kishan Reddy from Peleru constituency lost to YSR Congress party candidate Chintala Ramchandra Reddy.
Overall Jai Samaikyandhra Party contested in 140 Assembly segments and 23 Lok Sabha but failed to win even one seat. Adding to this many JSP candidates withdrew from the election race few days before the polling day. Sabbam Hari pulled himself out of election race for the Vizag Lok Sabha just one day before the voting.
Amalapuram sitting MP, Harsha Kumar could not even get deposit from here. Following the trend many leaders of Assembly segments got dropped at the last minute. It was big failure for Kiran. Anyways let us wait and see how he will revive the United AP agitation.
