In a huge setback to the Congress party, Konda Surekha with her husband Murali joined Telangana Rashtra Samithi [TRS] in the presence of chief KCR short while ago. Konda couple met KCR in the afternoon and following an assurance from the TRS chief, Konda couple agreed to join the party.
Speaking to the media after meeting KCR, Surekha said, “Mahaboobabad incident is unfortunate and we misunderstood KCR and TRS party in that whole episode. We will abide by any decision of party regarding our future and discussion of Assembly seat were not touched in this meeting.”
Meanwhile Warangal MLA Vinay Bhaskar has objected Konda Couples entry into TRS and said that he would contest as an independent, if TRS denied ticket. One of Vinay Bhaskar supporter has attempted suicide but was rescued by the fellow men.
Will Congress pull Vinay Bhaskar to tackle Konda couple, we have to wait and see.
