Infosys co-founder and the man behind Aadhar card Nandan Nilekani on Friday made his official confirmation of entering mainstream politics. The chairman of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) participated in a college event in Bangalore and when asked about politics he said, “politics is a good platform to serve people. I would love to do that.”
However, Nandan said he would contest on behalf of Congress party and the Karnataka Congress is presently searching for a Lok Sabha constituency for his battle. But the sources of Karnataka PCC say that High command will decide his slot and we will abide its decision.
Earlier rumors floated that Congress party is considering Nandan name for Prime Ministerial candidate but none of the Congressmen ruled the news out. Congress called for an AICC meet on January 17th to decide on candidates for PM post and insiders say that Sonia Gandhi may bring his name out.
On the whole we can say Nandan is on his way to make big in Indian politics but fingers crossed for now.
