KCR Objections Sent To PM

The Telangana Rashtra Samiti President K Chandrasekhara Rao wrote a letter to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh detailing his objections on the proposed Bill for the formation of Telangana State.

KCR narrated the points mentioned in his letter in the press conference held at Telangana Bhawan as under:

Telangana has special Mulki rules.  Mulki rules were formed by Nizam in 1919.  It was promised that the same rules would be followed after the formation of Andhra Pradesh. GO 610 was passed in 1985.  But the employees appointed irregularly were not sent back.  They all retired here.  Now, it is injustice to bear their pensions here.

KCR said that the distribution of the liabilities in the draft bill is also opposed.

KCR said expressed his opinion that the no-confidence move by three parties put together will not change the situation at Center.  He said that the defeat of Congress party is part of the democratic process which need not be taken as a permanent defeat of Congress party or a permanent win of other parties.  He questioned whether Congress party will be abolished with a defeat in four states?

He expressed his confidence that stopping a state bifurcation process at this stage is not possible for anyone.

He assured that the amendments in the proposed Telangana Bill will be pressed in the Parliament.
