
After transport minister Botsa Satyanarayana failed to convince APSRTC Employees' Union, Telangana Mazdoor Union and APNGO, bus transport is set to get a major beating in the next few days. RTC officials have lamented about the crores of losses incurred by the corporation, but employees are going ahead with a strike.
From 12th August midnight, The APSRTC employees union will go on an indefinite strike in Seemandhra, protesting a split. The Telangana Mazdoor Union will also strike in demand for a quicker Telangana.
The Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers' (APNGOs) would also take up the strike, keeping nearly 3.5 lakh employees away from work from tomorrow. Association president P Ashok Babu submitted the strike notice on Monday.
With both unions going ahead with their respective strikes, bus commuters are set to face troubles all over the state.
