Andhra Pradesh ex-chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has approached the Supreme Court over the bifurcation of the state. In the petition, Kiran claimed that the Union Government has done the division process without following the Constitution of India and has misused the article 3. Also Kiran mentioned in his petition that the draft bill was sent to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly instead of the original bill and he questioned how can the Center take the bill to Parliament when it was rejected by the Assembly.
However, Supreme Court is yet to accept the petition and there is no clarity on what date the apex court would hear it. Meanwhile YSRCP MP Mekapati Rajmohan Reddy and few others petition on the bifurcation will be taken up on 7th of March.
Decision on New party today?
On the other hand, Kiran is likely to announce his new party today. Kiran has held discussions with many leaders yesterday and seems like he has zeroed upon a decision to announce the new party officially. After getting survey reports of his party, Kiran has gathered lot of information and made up his mind to begin the party. Close sources to Kiran say that, if not on Wednesday, a decision on new party will definitely come out on Thurday.
