A book with one crore signatures collected by the Telugu Desam Party in protest from the public for the power problem in the State.
TDP held a meeting of protest at Gun Park, Hyderabad in the morning. TDP demands cancellation of surcharge on power consumption and electricity supply for 9 hours to the farmers. The book with one crore signatures was kept in the meeting for public display. The TDP senior leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu complained in the meeting that the industries are migrating to Karnataka due to the electricity problem in our State. Other leaders said that the power shortage is the result of corruption in the State.
After presenting the book of one crore signatures in protest of the electricity shortage, and after the Speaker advised them to give the book to the personnel, TDP Members of the Assembly surrounded the Speaker and demanded for a discussion on it.
