DL removed from Cabinet

The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy successfully removed the Minister DL Ravindra Reddy who has been criticizing him for a long time. The decision was taken after Kiran Kumar could get the approval from the party high command.   The main allegation is that DL Ravindra Reddy being a senior Congress Party leader and Minister for the State has been talking against various Government Schemes introduced by the Chief Minister like prestigious Amma Hastam with which Congress party could get some popularity.

The recommendation made by the Chief Minister to the effect was approved by the Governor. As the Chief Minister took this decision after coming back from Delhi, it is understood that it was one of the proposals he went with to Delhi.

About one and half years ago Minister Shankar Rao also was removed from the Ministry. In fact Shakara Rao was the one who initiated the arrest of YS Jagan by writing a letter to the High Court. DL Ravindra Reddy also worked in the interest of the Congress in getting the cases strong against Jagan and he also boldly contested against Jagan from Kadapa although the defeat was expected.   In spite of working for the Congress Party, Shankara Rao and now DL Ravindra Reddy have tasted the anger of the Chief Minister because of their comments against their own party and particularly against the Chief Minister.

If it is an indication for any the Chief Minister might have got an approval for the reshuffling of his Cabinet to have a strong force of his own to effectively prepare for the coming general elections. The process of the removal of the Minister D.L.Ravindra Reddy was completed in the night by about 9.00 pm. An announcement in the Gazette was released at that time of the night detailing about the Minister’s removal.
