The way some incidents come to light, the rate of intensity can easily be estimated.

A senior Navy Officer's wife gave a complaint to the Minister of Defence A.K.Antony that her husband is forcing her to move intimately with his seniors and colleagues.  

Swapping of wives has been the practice for long among the colleagues in private parties but those things hardly come out.   If it is acceptable in some cases it is ok but if the forcing goes beyond endurance then they revolt.  But in many of the cases it will be a hushed up incident as making an issue of it spoils the family relations and in most of the cases they may feel it low to complain.  Worst of it is the husband who asks for it and encourages it under the influence of intoxication may change his attitude after getting sober and may start torturing her mentally and physically for her sharing a bed with someone else.  

Attending parties is very important and proper etiquettes of the juniors and of his spouse in the parties also will be considered by the seniors.  Their promotions being in good books of seniors calls for many things and having etiquettes is one of them.  Attending a party leaving wife at home is considered as a bad practice.  In fact it is a good practice to go to parties accompanied by the spouse because one is not expected to lose temper or go berserk or make advances to other’s wives when he has a company of his spouse.  Wishing, Sitting at the table, handling cutlery, leaving them after use and many more will be observed to check their mannerisms and discipline.  All of it is ok in official parties.  

But private parties do break all rules and that too among the officers of the same cadre.  

The complainant’s husband is working as a Lieutenant Commander in Karnataka.  She being MBA, revolted for her husband’s behavior marriage with whom is only one year old.  As a result of her non cooperation, she was threatened by her husband to post her nude photographs on the web incase she doesn’t obey his orders.  She gave a written complaint to A.K.Antony narrating all this.  The Minister responded to the complaint and ordered for a departmental inquiry for which the complainant thanked him.  

As parties are frequently attended and as the liquor is much cheaper than in the market and easily available, the devil in them is possible to come out to do something new and different from the routine.  But after the split personality leaves, there is every chance of ruining the marital relationship.
