A diesel-powered Indian submarine burst forth violently at the same time sank early on Wednesday in a dock in Mumbai, leaving rescuers moving thoughtless with urgency to find 18 sailors who were on board. Furthermore, navy sources expressed that the INS Sindhurakshak had been returned by Russia less than a year ago in succession to a major refit and was engulfed subsequent to the accident.
The accident takes place just days subsequent to the New Delhi penetrating tone of the launch of its first domestically produced aircraft carrier and the start of sea trials for its first Indian-made nuclear submarine. Further to say, grainy and shaky amateur video footage taken by a witness showed the violent outburst which lit up the sky at the naval dockyard shortly in succession to midnight.
