A day after CBI filing its chargesheet against her in alleged connection with illegal assets case, Sabitha Indra Reddy (the home minister) has spoken to the media. She has said that all the GO s (Government orders) released by her during YSR regime were legal. Further, she has said that her family has ethical values and that she would obey what Congress high command says.
Speaking about resignation Sabitha Indra Reddy has said that she told chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy that she would step down as the home minister but quoted CM requesting her to continue in the post. Also, Sabitha Indra Reddy stressed that CBI and chargesheets were not in the jurisdiction of the state government. Finally, she said she didn't get any benefits from releasing those GO s and would do a legal fight.
Meanwhile, CBI filed memo in the CBI special court asking court for serving summons on Sabitha Indra Reddy in connection with the case. She is notably A4 (accused number four) in the case while Jaganmohan Reddy happens to be accused number one and former IAS official Srilakshmi is accused number five.
