TDP MP Nama Nageshwara Rao, who's known to make bold statements in Lok Sabha and one of the strongest leaders of the party, has subtly found fault with home minister Sabitha Indra Reddy not tendering resignation to her home ministry post. He has said it's unfortunate that ministers whose names have been included in chargesheets filed by CBI are choosing to continue in their posts. He has also said that ministers have all chances to alter the evidences and hence they should first resign for their posts and then prove their innocence.
Meanwhile, minister Kanna Lakshminarayana has said that Sabitha Indra Reddy didn't do anything wrong and that she would prove the same in the court of law. Nonetheless, he said there was no need for her to step down as the home minister of the state. Other ministers and Congress leaders were strongly in support of Sabitha Indra Reddy. But then what will happen if CBI arrests her, can they actually arrest her, these are some questions that are being discussed.
She being the home minister can apparently evade the arrest, said observers who strongly demanded her resignation failing which it would be like a blot to Congress party. They even said that it's high command that should take the decision in the best interests of Congress party and not the local leaders.
