PSLV-C20 soars into sky

ISRO has added another feather to its cap by launching the PSLV-C20. Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C20) has finally soared into the sky at 06:01 pm today from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota of Nellore district. In fact, the rocket was scheduled to be launched at 5.56 pm but then it got postponed by five minutes. Earlier, the launch was supposed to take place in December itself but due to technical issues, the date of launch was rescheduled.

President Pranab Mukherjee specially arrived at SHAR today morning to have a glimpse of the rocket soaring into the sky. PSLV-C20 will put oceanographic satellite SARAL into the orbit within few minutes of its launch. This satellite was joined prepared by India and France.

This satellite will supposedly help our country to trace any calamities as such. Hopefully, we will not be having so much of disturbance and casualties next time when there's a calamity like Neelam cyclone.
