Babu expresses his anguish on flood situation

TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu, who has resumed his padayatra Vastunna Meekosam, from Ramakrishna Puram of Mahabubnagar district, has lashed out at the government over the current flood situation in the state. He has alleged that the minister had no knowledge on monsoons and cyclones. He even said that the government allegedly failed to handle the flood situation in the state. To make a point he said during TDP regime secretariat was shifted to Rajahmundry when such disasters took place. Further, Chandrababu stressed that government didn't even provide control rooms in the flood effected regions of coastal Andhra.

It may be noted that Neelam cyclone, which recently hit near Chennai coast, eventually changed its direction and created havoc in coastal part of Andhra Pradesh. As per official records itself, as many as 24 persons lost their lives due to the floods while hundreds became homeless. Farmers lost their hopes as hundreds of hectares of crop land was buried under water.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly planning for penning down a letter to the prime minister urging the centre for noticing Andhra floods as a national disaster.
