Congress senior leader and union minister Kishore Chandra Deo levelled allegations against chief minister Kiran Kumar and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana. Based on these allegations, there was news this noon on Internet with headlines allegedly terming Botsa as Mafia don without even citing (in the headline) as to who levelled those statements. Irked over such derogatory and fabricated stories, Botsa Satyanarayana said he was deeply hurt and upset to notice such defamatory piece of articles on him. Also, he said he would file a libel case against such newspaper(s).

It has to be mentioned here that law established by constitution in India punishes under IPC Section 499 whosoever (including journalists) publishes or utters something against a person in public to malign his/her reputation. The punishment can be a simple imprisonment up to two years or fine or both.

Botsa Satyanarayana has said that he had no idea about the letter of Kishore Chandra Deo to the high command. Botsa said someone was trying to damage him emotionally. The high command is yet to respond on this.
