CSI celebrates foundation day

The Church of South India (CSI) celebrated its foundation day at the famous Medak Church on Thursday. A large number of devotees took part in the celebrations.  Notably, people from almost all corners of the state arrived at Medak this morning to take part in the programme.  The presbytery incharge Robinson, who presided over the event, preached the gospel to the gathering.  The fathers took out a holy procession with a holy cross. Later, several musicians have offered prayers to the Lord.

It may be noted that Medak church is a cathedral, which is located 100 kilometres off Hyderabad in a town named Medak. The legend has it that this cathedral came into existence during the reign of Kakatiya emperor Pratapa Rudra.
