The new Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) Trust Board, with Kanumuri Bapiraju as the chairman, will take the oath of office tonight (August 29). Out of 13 members, chairman and other eight members would take the oath today while the remaining five would take take the oath either on August 31 or on some other day, which has a better muhurtham, said sources. In the wake of the oath taking ceremony, the VIP darshan (VIP visit) of Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy at Tirumala temple has been cancelled. TTD JEO Srinivasa Raju has taken this decision on Wednesday morning.
It may be recalled that the Andhra Pradesh Government revamped the TTD Trust Board on August 25 wherein chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy announced the new members of the board besides signing the file. The previous chairman Kanumuri Bapiraju's chairmanship was extended by another two years. Therefore, Bapiraju would continued in the post for another two years. Will the new board take any special decisions that will further make devotees comfortable.
