Backward Community (BC) welfare must be top priority for the Congress and this could be achieved by serious participation by the community with adequate representation from the community. The issue was addressed by Congress leader Chiranjeevi, today. The actor turned leader felt that each state government and the Central government must make necessary amendments to accommodate more BC leaders in their assembly. The leader also acknowledged that there must a BC welfare monitoring committee that should implement the special sub planning agenda for the down trodden.

Speaking in Hyderabad the Rajya Sabha member appreciated the initiative of the special committee of ministers looking into the welfare of the SC/ST for their special agenda in implementing the welfare schemes, for the neglected castes. He said that such initiative was possible because of the Congress heading the state.

The Congress Leader also said that the memorandum enlisted, some historical measures and if these could be tabled, then the welfare of the community would be marvelous.
