TDP's Bireddy fights for R state

The Rayalaseema region rights' activist, Bireddy Rajashekara Reddy, who has been demanding Rayalaseema State is all set to stage a hunger protest today in support of his demand and to exert pressure on the Centre. Apparently, scores of people in Rayalaseema region are in support of Bireddy Rajashekara Reddy. Bireddy, who belongs to TDP region, is reportedly gearing up for putting a check to Congress and YSR Congress parties in the region.

The political experts said that TDP reportedly lost its image in Telangana region due to the dual stand of the party. Also, it has been apparently becoming weak in Andhra region too. And the experts said the only region, wherein TDP can rely on the loyalist vote bank is Rayalaseema region. However, they said Jagan's influence is likely to pose a threat to the party in near future even in Rayalaseema region. And in order to protect the party in the region, TDP seemed to have fielded Bireddy Rajashekara Reddy for a separate Rayalaseema state although the reports indicated that Chandrababu Naidu asked him not to stage hunger protest.

So, the experts opined that Congress has now threat from two political parties, which are banking on the sentiments of the scores of people. One being TRS and the other one is TDP, added experts. Will Congress carve out Telangana and Rayalaseema region to wash out the power of these two regional parties is a million dollar question.
